This learning path guides researchers through essential practices for making their work reproducible. It covers topics from understanding the 'what and why' of reproducibility, to practical steps like fair data handling, project organization, documentation of data and code, README file creation, building reproducible computational workflows, version control, and choosing open licenses. The path also introduces the BERD@NFDI Platform as a resource for data in business, economics, and related research.
Upon completion of this learning path, learners will be able to:
Explain the importance and principles of reproducibility in research.
Identify and apply methods for fair data handling.
Systematically organize research projects to promote reproducibility.
Effectively document research data and code, including the creation of metadata and README files.
Understand and implement the basic building blocks of reproducible computational workflows.
Utilize version control systems for research.
Select an appropriate open license for their research work.
Know and utilize the BERD@NFDI Platform as a resource for data in business, economics, and related research.
